Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, who was famous for his role in the popular TV show called Law and Order Special Victims Unit. He identified his interest towards acting from his days in the university and went on to study acting in the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both movies and on television, but it was his character on the small screen that earned him fame as well as huge fan following. The ability of his characters to appear on both sides of law has captured the attention of people. The first show he worked on was a serial on television, but he later played the part of an NYPD detective. The small screen performances of his were recognized by multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is known for his distinctive piercing, blue eyes which have been said to make him appear attractive. They've helped him portray rough characters in a charming manner. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
