Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for more than 20 years. Her best-known role is Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 as well as 2014 for Outstanding supporting actress in an Drama Series. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. The theatre studies she pursued was through Northwestern University. A semester was spent in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago area for a few years prior to trying her luck in TV and film roles. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she played Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna played in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it was not until the end of the 1990s when she was cast in an acting role on The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn was also on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also appeared in a series of audio play podcast called Numbered Days. The drama of Breaking Bad is dependent on the relationships that exists between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their uneasy relationship. The decline of their relationship is in line with Walter White's last years.
