Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor who is famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. While he was active in TV and film, his roles on small screens were what earned him popularity. There is no doubt that his characters have been able to capture people's attention with his characters that are either one side of the law. He portrayed the role of a serial killer on the first TV series he appeared in but later went on to play the role of an NYPD detective. For his performances on small screens, he's received numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The most striking of his facial traits is believed to be his piercing blue eye that has been instrumental in his portrayal of characters that appear rough and fascinating. In 2006, he appeared in the People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
